The purple and blue designs that make up all of the MK bracelets are to help raise money and awareness for proper animal laws and the humane caring of animals. We also need lawmakers to get busy and put in place laws that will protect communities from the negligence of animal owners. Pets can’t help that they were born, misplaced, lost or even dropped off. They just need to be loved and cared for and get fixed so that we can stop with so many animals being left for dead.
On June 11, 2025, our community experienced the tragedy of a young lady, only 15 years old, getting killed by a pack of dogs she was trying to feed because the owners couldn’t. I still can’t believe it happened. Her family and friends came together on June 13, 2026 to raise money for her memorial/scholarship fund and for a local nonprofit that rescues and regimes animals. I was there as a vendor and made over 50 purple glass bracelets, each one with a butterfly, to raise money for them. I did not succeed. I need your help.
50% of the sales of these bracelets will be given back to the Makayla Fortner memorial/scholarship fund and the Cuddle Babies non profit. I’m giving you 3 months to show up and show out for our precious MK.
