Welcome to Bitty Boop Boutique!
Hi there! I'm Salena, the founder and heart behind Bitty Boop Boutique. I never thought picking up a little kitten off the streets would transform my life like it has and given me the passion to start something I'm truly proud to share with you.
Our Story
The week before a winter storm was to arrive in our small Arkansas town in December of 2022, Bitty Boop became a member of our family. My daughter and I were driving home and I said in a low voice, "jump out and get her". Somehow, she knew exactly what I was talking about and sprang out of the car. There was a little tiny kitten running around and this was the moment to rescue her. My daughter was able to get the kitten to come to her. She carried her home, snuggled safely in her arms. This tiny little creamsicle colored ball of floof came into our home and sat under our Christmas tree. She was hungry, but happy. From the very first night, this tiny baby would look up at me, get this funny look on her face, and surprisingly, jump up into my arms. She let me hold her for a very long time and still does this to this day! I fell immediately in love with her, wouldn't you???
So, I guess your wondering how in the world did I get from kitten to forming a boutique? Bitty got her name from being so tiny but has made such a huge impact on my heart. She is my "mews", my inspiration. She came from nothing and now has a great home with a family that loves her. I envision that for my boutique. Times are hard, you have to think outside the box to make anything of yourself. I have degrees and a great day job, but with my kids getting older in not so many years, we will be empty nesters. I have always had a love for beads, sequins, sparkle and glitter. Why not invest in something I love that I can easily share with the world that could even spark imagination and creativity, feelings of belonging and a sense of home.
A big dream? Overwhelming? Where to start, where to go and who would even want what I can make? All of this is fear. When you have a passion for something, you never know who you could impact in a paws-itive way. In my heart, Bitty gave me that hope for something new and challenging. She is a cat, but we have a very strong bond and I will love her for as along as we live.
With these thoughts in mind, it’s my goal for every piece that I create for you that it gives you the opportunity to share your passion and bring joy to everyday life.
